  • Will Sobel

    CO-FOUNDER

    Will Sobel is the Co-Founder and Co-Principal of Metalogi. Will has over thirty years of experience in information technologies and advanced application architectures. Will is currently leading multiple standards efforts from industrial information and protocols to ontologies. For over thirteen years, he has been the principal architect of the MTConnect® standard and creator of open source IIoT platforms for the manufacturing industry. Will also chairs the American Society for Mechanical Engineers Model-Based Enterprise Standards Development Methodology working group and the Industrial Ontologies Foundry MTConnect working group collaborating with industry experts to enable the digital thread.

    Will brings over 30 years of experience building companies and architecting complex computational systems for numerous industries. He was Chief Strategy Officer of VIMANA, providing a leading Industrial AI platform enabling predictive and prescriptive analytics for discrete manufacturing. Before VIMANA, Will worked in the financial industry for 17 years, finishing as Chief Architect at MSCI.

  • Simon Yeung

    CO-FOUNDER

    Simon Yeung is the Co-Founder and Co-Principal of Metalogi. Simon has over 30 years of experience in developing products for real-time data monitoring and decision-making systems for various industries. He was an early technology adapter for manufacturing automation and was a member of the 1st generation FIX/DMACS development team at Intellution. He later moved to the financial industry and cofounded Redpoint Software Inc. with Will. They pioneered risk management products for capital and asset management market and their TotalRisk products were essential to their clients during volatile markets. After their company was acquired by Barra, which was later purchased by MSCI Inc., Simon joined as a Director of software development. He finished as Executive Director at MSCI Inc., and was responsible for managing a number of their product development teams.

    Simon is an author of various MTConnect® open source projects and he is a member of MTConnect Standards Committee.
