Overview

MetaAgent® is a great CAM tool to capture various data streams from the manufacturing processes which enables you to analyze these process data using any CAM software. It allows for seamless data integration for MTConnect, NC-Link, OPC UA, and any other manufacturing standards. You can also collect your data continuously in real-time and time-series databases like RethinkDB, InfluxDB, ElasticSearch, Kafka, and Sparkplug B. MetaAgent® provides a rich set of plugins that extend the connectivity of the MTConnect agent and give you the flexibility of mixing and matching the use of any machines/devices from any standards or machine vendors.

What’s in MetaAgent®

MTConnect Agent Sink Plugins

  • They are MTConnect Agent 2.0+ added-on egress modules that present MTConnect data to another standard like OPC UA or NC-Link or stream data directly to other data services.

MTConnect Gateways

  • Gateways provide the same functionalities as their Sink Plugin except that they run as external processes along with any 1.4+ version of MTConnect Agents.

MTConnect Agent Adapter Plugins

  • They are MTConnect Agent 2.0+ added-on ingress modules that provide adapter interfaces and stream data from other standards like OPC UA or NC-Link.

MTConnect Adapter

  • Adapters provide the same functionalities as their Adapter Plugins except that they run as external processes along with any 1.4+ version of MTConnect Agents.

OPC UA DataConnect

  • OPC UA DataConnect streams data from any OPC UA servers to the above data services.

NC-Link DataConnect

  • NC-Link DataConnect streams data from any NC-Link servers to the above data services.
